Governance in Spacebar is built around Key holders who earn the right to shape the ecosystem through active participation. Rather than passive token voting, governance rewards those who explore, discover, and engage.

Why Governance?

The most direct governance responsibility of Key holders is selecting which dapps appear in the Core Zone's Governance Portal. Through the Voting system, you can choose one dapp in each of six categories in the Core Zone. Your selections help curate what the entire community sees when they explore the Core Zone, making your role crucial in highlighting quality projects.

This governance model ensures that decision-making power is earned through active participation rather than passive token holding. By finding a Key, you've demonstrated engagement with Outer Space that you've explored the map, competed with others, and invested time in the ecosystem. This earned authority creates a governance system where voters are inherently invested in the platform's success.

The governance rights associated with Keys will expand as Outer Space matures.
