What is Spacebar on ETH? ​

Spacebar on ETH is a Web3 gaming platform built on Ethereum mainnet that uses your PFP NFT as your onchain identity through ERC-6551 tokenbound accounts.

Do I need to own an NFT to play? ​

Yes, you need to own and select a PFP NFT to serve as your identity in Spacebar. This NFT becomes your character and account.

What wallets are supported? ​

Spacebar supports standard Ethereum wallets including MetaMask, WalletConnect, and other compatible EOA (Externally Owned Account) wallets.

Is there a cost to play? ​

While joining Spacebar and minting your Protoship may be free, certain actions require gas fees on Ethereum mainnet. Minting Keys and other onchain transactions will incur standard Ethereum gas costs.

⭐ FAQ - Stars ​

Q: What are Stars, and why are Stars important?

  • Stars are game assets used in Spacebar. They are not tradable on-chain assets; instead, they are earned through active participation and efforts.
  • Collecting a substantial amount of Stars in Spacebar holds great value. In your Spacebar journey, having Stars could be vital for engaging in various important activities. Moreover, the number of Stars you accumulate over time will have an impact on upcoming leaderboards.
  • The possibilities unlocked by having Stars will continue to grow as Spacebar evolves.

Q. How do we collect Stars?

  • There are several ways to accumulate Stars within Spacebar. Currently, these methods are exclusive to Spacebar and cannot be obtained elsewhere.
  1. Daily Star Reward
    • Everyday when you log in, we gift you with Stars! To qualify for the Star reward, you must have been active within Spacebar in the previous 24 hours. The criteria for receiving the Star reward are based on UTC-0 time.
  2. Gameplay
    • Additionally, you will soon have the opportunity to gather Stars in an upcoming game that will be launched. Stay tuned for its release!

Q. What is Star Doodle and how can I play?

  • In Square, a gathering place for everyone, you can unleash your creativity and draw whatever you like using the Stars you have collected. Visit Square to explore Doodles done by other members!
  • To activate Star Doodle mode, press the "z" key while in the Square. Once the mode is enabled, pressing the spacebar will place Stars!
  • Moreover, when the Star doodle mode is active, your Spaceship won't collect Stars on Square, even if the Spaceship touches them.
  • Not only does this tool empower you to draw with precision, but it also guarantees that your doodles won't accidentally clash with other Spaceships' artwork.

😃 FAQ - PFP NFTs ​

Q: How can I change my initially selected PFP NFT to a different one?

  • In Spacebar, your PFP NFT represents both your identity and account. Therefore, changing your PFP NFT is akin to creating a new account!
  • One of the exciting aspects of digital spaces like Spacebar is the ability to play with various identities.
  • At this moment, it is not yet possible to use multiple PFP NFTs in Spacebar, but we are working on it right now. In the near future, you will be able to use different PFP NFT than the one you initially chose.

Q: Do I have to choose PFP NFTs only from the Ethereum chain?

  • Yes, currently, Spacebar supports only the Ethereum chain. Thus, NFTs from other chains will not be displayed on the account setup page. Also, if the PFP NFT you select originally exists on the Ethereum chain but migrates to a different chain, it will no longer be usable in Spacebar (this applies to Ethereum layer 2 and EVM chains as well).
  • The reason the chain of the chosen NFT matters is that Spacebar doesn't merely load the image of the NFT for use; the token assets, such as Spaceship, acquired within Spacebar, are actually minted based on that specific NFT. As a result, these assets participate in onchain activities within the hierarchy of the NFT.

Q: When setting up my account, some of the NFTs I own are not displayed. Why is that?

  • The most probable reason some of your NFTs are not shown is that they are not on Ethereum chain or they are ERC-1155 tokens.
  • Additionally, there are other reasons why certain NFTs may not be displayed:
    • If it is not possible to retrieve metadata of the token within the NFT contract.
    • If the NFT is filtered as spam or airdrop according to Alchemy API criteria.
    • If the data type of NFT is not an image or GIF but rather a .mov or animation.
    • If the image of the NFT itself is invalid.

🛰️ FAQ - Spaceships ​

Q: How many Spaceships are there in total?

  • The total number of Spaceships is 1,024.
  • We start with 2 members and double the member count every week, enabling us to reach 1,024 members within 10 weeks. In the digital realm, everything is binary, and we are building a digital universe where growth mirrors the principle of human reproduction through the power of twos.
  • It takes 7 weeks to reach 128 members. During this period, we can approach and carefully select members who align with the ethos of Spacebar. We hope that these early members will cherish these initial moments. As the member count reaches 1,024, these additional features will excite both early members and Web 3 members who are observing the growing content.

Q. What are Protoships and Ownerships?

  • Spaceship NFT has two evolutionary phases; “Protoship” and “Ownership”.
  • Once you mint the Spaceship NFT, the Spaceship enters the "Protoship" stage and must complete missions to avoid being burnt. By successfully accomplishing missions, you can eventually upgrade your Spaceship into an "Ownership".

Q: Is the Spaceship NFT considered a SBT (Soulbound Token)? And when can we transfer or sell it?

  • During the Protoship phase, the Spaceship is not transferrable and functions as a Soulbound token.
  • However, once the Protoship is upgraded to Ownership, both the Spaceship NFT itself and all associated assets become transferrable. This allows you to freely transfer or sell them as desired. While your Spaceship is in the Protoship phase, it is not transferrable, meaning it is a Soulbound token.

Q: When can I upgrade my Spaceship to Ownership?

  • After the launch of Spacebar, all 1,024 Spaceships from Universe 1 will begin to enter, bringing exciting missions for you to embark on!
  • As you progress through missions and enhance the power of your Protoship, the opportunity to upgrade it to Ownership will soon present itself!

Q: How can I prevent my Spaceship from getting burnt?

  • After the launch of Spacebar, once all 1,024 Spaceships in Universe 1 have assembled, exciting missions will be assigned to you!
  • By successfully completing these missions, your Spaceship will be protected from burning. More information about the missions will be revealed soon, so stay tuned!
  • Furthermore, once your Protoship has been upgraded to Ownership, it becomes a powerful entity that cannot be burned, regardless of the missions and challenges you face!

Q: What happens if a Spaceship in the Protoship phase fails to accomplish a mission and gets burned?

  • If a Spaceship in the Protoship phase fails to complete a mission and gets burned, the Spaceship will be incinerated, and consequently, all underlying assets will naturally be burned as well.
